How can I start healthy eating habits?

Healthy eating and nutrition habits seem to be some of the most difficult to stick to…or at least that’s what I’ve found to be true for myself. I’ve been able to apply quite a few of these ideas to my own routines. Thankfully, most of them are super simple and easy to implement. Take a look at the ones listed below to give you some ideas:

Water

If you’ve heard it once, you’ve heard it a thousand times. Drink more water 💧.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always struggled with drinking enough water. At least getting to that “8 glasses a day” always seemed to allude me. Some experts even tell us we should be drinking more than that 😱. Whatever the number is, I know I’ve always needed little tricks to help me get the numbers up.

Hope these help you as much as they’ve helped me.

Sweets

If  you’re anything like me you may have a sweet tooth…or two, or three 😉.

I’ve loved sweets for about as long as I can remember, and I’d never want to give them up completely. So, I’ve found a few ways to satiate my cravings while still keeping things healthy.

It doesn’t mean I can’t have a piece of cheesecake 🍮 every now and then, but sticking to these habits and tips keep me in line so that I can feel guilt-free when I do.

AT WORK

How can I create healthy habits while at work?

There are many different ways to create healthy habits at work, but I’ve found the simplest solutions are usually the easiest to set into motion. Try some of the following examples to start:

Work Day

Like you, I spend a significant amount of my day at work. But, that’s no excuse to let opportunities for healthy habits slip me by.

A typical week at work consists of 40+ hours and there are plenty of opportunities to make good things happen for our health and mentality 😇.

AT HOME

How can I create healthy habits when I’m at home?

Habits are formed by repetition, and we often don’t even think about doing them each day. One place this happens consistently is in our home. However, if we make a conscious effort to create and adjust our daily routines, our homes are the perfect place to develop healthy habits.

Home

An easy place to fall into bad habits is at home where we can sit back, relax, and get comfortable.

While there’s nothing wrong with taking time for some much needed TLC 🥰(and, from time to time, we definitely need to for our mental wellbeing), It’s really easy to start making excuses too. Trust me, I’ve been there.

Embracing healthy habits at home is a great way to create balance for ourselves.
